Grade 5 Geography

I think I’m loosing my mind. Really, this idea I have for “Mechanica Obscura” is not really turning out the way I thought it would. I’ve been experimenting technically like a mad woman trying to come up with 5 or 6 pieces for our Jupiter Project show at DvA Gallery and nothing is thrilling me. I’m into the idea of “Mechanica Obscura”, and I liked how things turned out digitally well enough, but getting it down on paper is another thing. I’m basically trying to combine two styles, and I haven’t quite figured out how it should come together.

Thing is, anyone who knows me, knows I go through this with ever single piece I do. I’m very predictable that way. But hey, I do kinda like Tesla’s eye in the upper left corner…

Recycled Art

Well lookie here, haven’t I posted this bird three times now? Yes, this is what it’s come to, recycled art. Thing is I’m pretty sure no one will notice anyhow since I haven’t posted a thing since Feb. 14th and anyone who once saw this thing has probably given up looking here completely.

So I decided that reusing previous pieces would probably be more practical for my section of the Jupiter Project book as the Eds are keeping me more than busy. Granted, I’m still having quite a bit of fun with it, as I’ve decided to utilize the notes I found amongst my dad’s papers. He was a mechanical engineer, and a real character too.
