Anatomy of a Mojo

Well, I went and did it. After talking with Nicole (of The Pop Tarts) the other night, I decided to join the popular MySpace. I sort of wonder what the point is considering I seldom post on here as it is, but I’m trying to find any reason to procrastinate these days.

Hey, I do have 16 friends now so it must be good, eh?

Anyhow, because I don’t know how to upload images on it, I’m posting this image here so I can do that “link image thingy”. Originally, I did this painting “just for the hell of it”. It was a lot of fun making, especially the blood splatter!

Good Mourning Monday

That’s right, in keeping with my summertime good mood I’m continuing my series of cemetery photos. I took these pics in St. Mark’s Cemetery, Salt Spring Island this year, but sadly, I wasn’t able to find out much about this pretty little place. All I found was a burial record, but I suppose it’s nice to know that many of the RIP-ers lived a long life, since many of the graveyards here in BC from this era seem to indicate otherwise.

Sail Ho! It’s that time of year again for makin’ pirates!

Just to change things up, I wish I would have chosen to do a parrot rather than another pirate skull for the upcoming “Lowbrow on the Highseas 3” show this Friday, but of course, it didn’t occur to me until I was nearly finished. That’s okay, I never tire of paintin’ bones!

Rest in Peace

It’s not that I want to end up in a graveyard prematurally, but I do enjoy looking around and taking pictures of them, therefore I thought it time to post a few of my own shots.

For my first online boneyard album, I decided Laeken Cemetery in Brussels, Belgium would be a good start. I’ve been to a few cemeteries since I was there in ‘92, but Laeken is still a favourite of mine.
