The Devil’s Tramping Ground

Picture-3.jpg

The Devil’s Tramping Ground is a scary collection of Flash animated shorts perfect for the Halloween season or any time of year for that matter. “The Tramping Ground” and “The Banshee” are my favourites.
Thanks Neatorama and Miss Cellania (they always find the best stuff)

Scary Sounds

Rue Morgue Radio Ad.jpg

Yeah! Here’s a fabulous site The Monsterclub, Radio Library I found on Boing Boing today with a large selection of great OTR shows; all with a scary theme in mind. Audio stories is THE only thing that can get me through sitting for hours on end colour styling, but they’re also fun to listen too while painting or drawing as well.

I also came across this radio show too that I’m sure to get into: Rue Morgue Radio.

Yet Another Version

NIPPLES.jpg

Today on the Gallery of the Absurd, artist 14 posted One Painting, Three Interpretations and therefor I felt compelled to show my One Painting, One Interpretation I did for a b-day invite *groan* 8 years ago (well, 8 years in one month, but who’s counting).

I’m the “tweeker”, since I was the one turning 30; my friend Chantelle was the “tweeked” since she was only turning 27. Don’t ask me why I decided on this particular image, perhaps I wanted to be controversial, which worked as a co-workers wife got all weird, but hey, I already lost the brow piercing so I had to do something.

And for all you 5 people seeing this, I’m still pretty perky ’cause my Photoshop skills got better.

Mum & Dad

Mum-&-Dad.jpg

While visiting Mum I came across a couple old photos that for whatever weird reason I love. I don’t think it’s because I always think of my mum with red hair or that I’m wondering why my dad has a goofy grin for a passport photo. I guess I just forgot how offbeat my parents once looked. They remind me of a couple characters from a Jim Jarmusch movie or something. Also, I’m reminded of just how eccentric my childhood could be at times; the sensation of when all was right at home we would be or act as kooky as we wanted to without caring what anyone thought.

My friend and fellow Sinner Kipling posts her experiences while volunteering at the Calgary Zoo every Tuesday.

A combination of: deadpan animal, Photoshop, and a few cocktails.
