Last night, I received an interesting comment from someone in New York under my “Ladies and Escort’s” post asking if the sign for “Meat Draw” was for the band in Victoria, BC, which is way over here on the West Coast. Truthfully, I hadn’t heard of them, the sign was actually for a real meat draw, but regardless I was super curious to see what they sounded like, and I’m glad I did. They have a few songs posted on their MySpace profile, a website and a video for “I Don’t Want to Be your Ghost”. Cool! Now I’ve got another reason to head for Victoria, not that I ever need much excuse.

By the way, an actual “meat draw” is basically a raffle for meat. Yup, in some of the older-type bars here in Canada they will sell tickets and raffle off steaks and roasts – stuff like that. I’ve actually had pretty good luck doing this with my dad as strange as it may sound.

I’ve decided that I want a 50’s housewife. This might be a politically incorrect statement, but I don’t really care, because I want one.

I’ve come to realize that I’ll never be able to balance work, painting AND all the stupid cleaning, cooking crap that you’re supposed to do so after careful consideration, the most reasonably choice would be to find someone, like from one of those old TV shows that can do all that boring stuff and not mind doing it because I hate it.
