Ride My Bones

Inspired by a line in a song called Sue Egypt by Captain Beefheart, the image really doesn’t have much to do with the song, but I sure do love the lyric. Actually, I could probably find inspiration from any Captain Beefheart song -just close your eyes and point to any line and there you go!
This is the first finished piece (oh God) from a series I’ve named “Gone West”, for my upcoming show at La Luz de Jesus Gallery on June 4th (double oh God), and in my usual fashion, I’m freaking and wondering why I decided to do larger than my normal painting size.
