No lie, I took this picture today. I was lucky enough to have one of the most wonderful weekends thanks to my dear friend (and aviation artist) Ginny Ivanicki and new friends Ray and Dave (both of whom piloted these amazing machines).

Needless to say, I’m dumbfounded. Not only because I got to experience flying in formation AND did a roll, but because of the generosity of these fellas. It was truly a gift and I’ve only just met them.

That’s me doing the “Thumbs Up”. I can hear my dad saying “Way to go Beans!”

I’m now a member of the Cascade Warbirds and I should mention that the event we flew to was at the Arlington Airshow.

    I don’t know any Ray or Dave (except as Kinks) , that looks like Rod at the controls in thelast pic. But it can’t be because I’m sure he’d never wear
    aviator sunglasses even if he was an aviator!
